How did I end up here? I have to ask myself this question and laugh. After all it's not like it was my lifelong desire to become a porn star. Strangely, becoming a porn star wasn't on the agenda, so how the hell did I end up here?
I was an only child, a small town girl, born in Longmont, a little community just outside of Boulder, Colorado. On May 26 I came into the world, a sweet, innocent, pudgy little girl with a tuft of blonde hair. After an altercation with my Dad in my teens I was shipped out to live with my Mother in San Diego. During the end of high school and through part of college I worked for a chain of video stores in the San Diego area where I learned a lot about porn. I came into the adult industry via an acquaintance who was a friend of photographer Warren Tang. Warren eventually shot one of my very first magazine layouts. I decided that since I was ever-adventurous I would go to Los Angeles to try one or two movies and see what happened. After about five movies I was getting all kinds of calls for more work so I decided to move my entire life, dog and all, from beautiful Colorado to a lovely (not) one-bedroom cottage (?) on a charming five-lane thoroughfare nestled beneath the power lines in North Hollywood.

Gia Paloma is an American porn performer. Paloma grew up in Walnut, California and is of Italian ancestry. Her stage name comes from Gia, a 1998 movie in which Angelina Jolie played model Gia Carangi, and Paloma, the Spanish word for dove and the name of Pablo Picasso's daughter.
Paloma originally worked at a Starbucks before doing porn. Gia got into the business because she needed money and also to get back at an ex-boyfriend.
